The Cinturato™ Gravel Mixed Terrain is a gravel-specific tyre designed for mixed terrain, where the surface varies between compact and unstable terrain and all intermediate types. The tread consists of knobs with average height and spacing to guarantee excellent performance on a wide range of terrains.
The special SpeedGRIP Compound adds features of mechanical resistance and chemical grip without compromising the rolling efficiency. Cinturato™ Gravel Mixed Terrain is a high-performance tyre with unique characteristics of grip in all weather conditions, be they dry or wet, plus a high level of puncture protection.

Tread:
- The tread of Cinturato™ Gravel Mixed Terrain is composed of knobs whose height and spacing were studied alongside the physical and mechanical properties of the rubber compound, to offer uncompromising performance in conditions varying between compact and unstable terrain. The addition of specific ribbing helps support the knobs, limiting their deformation and encouraging the release of excess mud in wet conditions.
Single Compound:
- The properties of the new SpeedGRIP Compound are tailored for all weather conditions, regardless of whether the terrain is dry or wet. The new formulation retains the same polymer matrix as the specific mountain bike SmartGRIP Compound, improving the rolling efficiency
Structure:
- Coupling a reinforced casing construction featuring a woven fabric bead-to-bead layer with a tubeless-ready Aramid bead optimized for wide modern rims, Cinturato™ Gravel Mixed Terrain offers an extremely high level of puncture protection and a new level of performance in terms of rolling and grip, as well as a great reliability - which is already what the Cinturato™ trademark stands for in Pirelli.

Excellent tire for those who want to do gravel at all levels prior to MTB. Perfect on all surfaces: smooth on asphalt, safe on dirt roads (even the most advanced ones compared to the classic river bank). Stable even on sudden changes of direction. Also recommended for the good price!

The tread pattern looks aggressive and you'd assume that it'd be super slow on the road but it's hella fast even on pavement. It's a great gravel tire for the PNW where the conditions vary from fine, loose, chunky gravel to damp and slightly wet mud. This tire can do it all without sacrificing too much speed. I had ramblers before and this tire is a night and day difference on grip and speed.

Excellent speed and quality of delivery. And today I have tested the covers, so I can only give a first impression. Very favourable, by the way. Without being planes, they are quite rolling, and on very loose ground they have given me confidence, even with my -enormous- technical limitations. We'll see.

Very happy with them, they heel with the house pump, they hold on a lot and they feel fast. The weight is good, 620gr the 700x45. The standard ones wtb riddler weigh 680gr. I feel more comfortable riding with high profile tires than with those that are more rolling.

According to the tire width ratio tables, your 303 with 23 interior width would be perfectly compatible. In fact, my rim is the same, 23 mm inside, and they worked great for me.

I have both black and classic walls in 700x40. The classic walls are 41.5 mm wide when mounted on a 22 mm internal rim. I have not mounted the blacks, but they seem to be a bit smaller than the classics. That is noticeable when handling both tires unmounted. Nevertheless, the cardboard packaging of both the black and the classic tyres indicates they are 700x40. I hope that helps.

It has never been sold since 38. Then the actual width when installed depends on how the rim channel lays it. If wider it tends to widen. But keep in mind above all the height it generates. Important so as not to crash the edges of the rim on some really hard stones!

Actually, these tyres measured 41 mm widh at their widest point inflated whitout inner tubes at 38 psi and mounted on Dt swiss rims with internal width of 22 mm. So they are basically 700x40c.

Exactly there is 700X40. And that´s very good. Excellent rear traction and mounted on the front with the right pressure based on weight and terrain, excellent support. Sliding!!!
