It is a very good product. Thermal insulation is good and the head stays warm. Tested with water of 15/16 degrees Gianfranco

No, the cap is made of neoprene, which is not waterproof. Of course it always takes a while for the water to come through.

I recommend (choose the right size) because it prevents water from getting into the ears but doesn´t stop it completely. You still need to use earplugs or cotton plugs to make sure no water gets into your ears. This keeps the head warm and should reduce damage to the ears from cold water.

My head circumference is 57cm. Which size would fit me please?

With a similar head circumference, I chose the smaller size SM. Unfortunately, the chin strap is very tight. In that sense, I would tend towards the larger size.

No, neoprene is not waterproof. It runs very slowly through the material.
