Nalgene plastic is good (safe from a health point of view and also durable). I bought the bottle with a wide mouth to be able to put ice and also because it is easier to clean. The cap seals well but you have to be careful with the part that attaches the cap to the bottle, as it is a little fragile (I already had another bottle from Nalgene and that part broke). This product is suitable for any environment, from the city to the mountain.
