What are Essential Amino Acids?
The muscular attrition involved in physical exercise should be rewarded with a high intake of protein and amino acids. Otherwise, muscle regeneration processes will not develop and the degradation of muscle proteins will lead to unwanted catabolism.
NutriSport, aware of the athlete´s protein needs, has formulated Essential Amino Acids to supplement your diet with those specific nutrients you need. Of all the existing amino acids, the essential amino acids are those that we must ingest through the diet since our organism is incapable of synthesizing them.
The amino acids that the metabolism can make are called nonessential amino acids and their presence in the diet is not as important as that of the essential.
In fact, the essential amino acid content of a protein defines its Biological Value. A high Biological Value implies a greater presence of AAEE, which is to say that this protein ´gives us a greater nutritional benefit´.
Essential Amino Acids are 8: L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, L-Phenylalanine, L-Methionine, L-Lysine, L-Threonine, L-Tryptophan and L-Valine.
Among them, 3 are known as Branched Amino Acids (BCAAs):
- Branched Amino Acids (L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine and L-Valine) constitute a very important percentage in the amino acid chain of muscle proteins. And they are not only so representative in the musculature, but also stimulate the processes of protein synthesis. Therefore they are essential in the processes of regeneration of muscle tissue.
On the other hand, L-Phenylalanine, L-Methionine, L-Lysine, L-Threonine, L-Tryptophan also have important functions in metabolism:
- L-Phenylalanine: Essential brain stimulant in the production of neurotransmitters.
- L-Methionine: Amino acid sulfur that favors the growth and intervenes in the synthesis of numerous metabolites of the organism.
- L-Lysine: Stimulates the immune system and cell regeneration. It has an important presence in muscle tissue.
- L-Threonine: It works in good hepatic functioning and together with L-Methionine they act as liver protectors.
- L-Phenylalanine: Immediate precursor of the serotonin, neurotransmitter that acts on the moods and behavior of the person.
In addition the formula has been completed with L-Histidine, important for tissue growth and repair, and L-Tyrosine acting as a neurotransmitter.
How to use:
Take 5 tablets / capsules or 3 to 5 grams of Branched Amino Acids after training, along with your Gold Whey Protein Shake.
