Product description Sigalsub Tahitian Shaft HRC With Shark Fins Single Barb 6.75 mm
Sigal HRC shaft takes it´s name from the hardness test of the steel which is conducted by penetration with a diamond point. The shafts are made of sandvik steel with heat treatment 48/50 HRC that makes them very tenacious even when they hit the hardtest rocks. The peculiarity of this series is represented by the presence of shark-fin pins that are laser-welded in a non-through housing which avoids the presence of structural critical points.
All the shafts are equipped with 4 fins, 3 of which are grouped together in a backward position while the last one is more distant and it is aimed to help loading the speargun only. The position of the latter can be customized according to the user´s needs, as indeed many other features (barb position, barb number, diameter, tip type, etc.). All the fins have the hole for the passage of the monofilament in order to offer a wider range of possibilities to the user. All are polished and finished by hand so as not to have abrasive edges that could damage the monofilament.

Very good quality, even better then the original Pathos shaft I think. I am using this shaft with speargun PATHOS SNIPER 75sm and with original 2*16mm power bands. Because this SIGALSUB shaft is comming with longer barb (lower) then original it is possible for me to do following - by tucking the barb to the body of the speargunm I can tuck it under the body of the speargun and it doesn't float around in the water and annoy me. After a I made a shot with the speargun, the barb is immediately released (after 1 cm of shaft flight) and does its job of stabilizing the shot to the fish!

It could go well with 2 rubber bands of fourteen at least 350% but with two of 16 it would also be perfect at 300%

A contained measure but I like to take the spearguns with the shaft as close as possible to the head to avoid swaying when the shaft exits. These shafts have an HRC of more than 50 and are spectacular.

Even at this 6.75mm measurement, there is little difference in the pull, even looking like 7mm. Great finishes and stunning quality on Sigalsub HRCs.
